Willie Lynn Atkinson Burch

Mt. Croghan, SC – Willie Lynn Atkinson Burch, age 92, entered into rest on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Wellstar Community Hospice – Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Croghan Memorial Park with a reception to follow at the Mt. Croghan Community Center.

Mrs. Burch was born in Mt. Croghan, SC and was a daughter of the late James Robert and Susie Prevatte Atkinson.  She was a retired seamstress and a member of Mt. Croghan Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Eugene “Gene” Burch Sr., her brothers Guy Atkinson, James Atkinson, Jack Atkinson, and Bobby Atkinson, and her sisters Basil Hucks, Floss Barbee, Georgia Rollins, and Shirley Lenard.

Surviving are her son, Edwin “Ed” Eugene Burch Jr. of Greenwood, SC, and three granddaughters, Sloan Fleming and her husband Greg (Hannah and David) of Chapel Hill, NC, Carey Livingston and her husband Richie (Connor and Caden) of Andrews, SC, and Elizabeth Wilson and her husband David (Kaitlyn and Reed) of Greenwood, SC.
