Mrs. Sue Raffaldt Snipes, age 78, entered into rest on Friday, October 25, 2019. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2019 at Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Scott Gibson with burial to follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery of Pageland. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Snipes was born November 4, 1940 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Lloyd and Susie Thurman Raffaldt. She was a caregiver for many years and the former Nutrition Manager of Chesterfield County Council on Aging. Mrs. Snipes was a charter member of Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene, and enjoyed watching RFD-TV, the Gaither’s Homecoming Classics, and reading Christian material. Sue also enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, and watching wildlife.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snipes was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Snipes; sister, Faye R. Roscoe; and brother, Lloyd Raffaldt, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Leon Snipes of the home; daughters, Carol Snipes (Buddy) Hendrix, and Sharon Snipes Deese both of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer (Shannon Helms) Hayes of Pageland, SC, Josh (Kate) Deese of Greer, SC, Joseph (Brandy) Deese of Ruby, SC, Ryan (Jessica) Quick of Wallace, SC, and Julie (Walker) Capps of Wake Forest, NC; step-grandchildren, Adam Hendrix and Patrick Hendrix both of Pageland, SC; great grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Madison, Gannon, Amos, Wesley, Emma, Tristan, Kiersten, Kinsley, Alyssa, Kaley, and Gradie; sisters, Frances (Paulie) Campbell of Chesterfield, SC, Ann Purgason of Stokesdale, NC, and Dale (Ron) Florence of High Point, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Helen Shaw.
