Mrs. Shirley Phillips Watts, age 86, entered into her eternal home by faith in Jesus Christ her Lord on October 6, 2021. A private family graveside service will be held at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Watts was born May 11, 1935 in the Pleasant Plains Community of Lancaster County, SC a daughter of the late William Leroy and Edna Rebecca Holden Phillips. She was a graduate of Flat Creek High School and a retired employee of Springs Industries with over 35 years of service. She was a long-time member of Lynnwood United Methodist Church. Shirley enjoyed working in her yard, working word search puzzles, and baking for her family and friends around the holidays. A lady who loved her family deeply, Mrs. Watts will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watts was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Watts; brothers, Sammie Lee “Buster” Phillips, and William E. “Billy” Phillips; sister, Sara Frances McManus; half-brothers, Rev. Oria E. Phillips, Chalmers Phillips, W.L. Phillips, and Taskel Phillips.

Survivors include her children, Diane (Derryl) Eubanks of Jefferson, SC, Sharon Hancock of Indian Land, SC, Frankie Daryl (Erika) Watts of Columbia, SC, and Bridgette (Bobby) Reeves of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Kitchen, Abbygail (Andrew) Nims, Olivia Watts, Holden Watts, Brittany Reeves, and Brandon Reeves; great grandchildren, Jasmine Kitchen, Jordan Kitchen, and Jacob Kitchen; sister, Sue Ellis of Washington, DC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in honor of her grandson to, CHARGE Syndrome Foundation, 318 Half Day Rd. #305, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 or to Agape Hospice 404 West Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to the staff of Agape Hospice for their exceptional love and care shown to Mrs. Watts and her family.
