Mr. Roy H. Shelley, age 40, entered into rest on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Patrick Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Due to the continued COVID-19 risks, we ask that you practice social distancing at all times and refrain from any physical contact. The family would like for all attending the service to please wear a face covering.

Mr. Shelley was born December 19, 1980 in Laurinburg, NC a son of the late Harold Shelley and Janet Grant Lewis. He was a professional wrestler in multiple independent associations and was known as “King Payne” in the ring. Roy also had a passion for music. He could play any instrument and enjoyed gospel, country, and southern rock music. An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching little league baseball and football. His greatest pastime was being a dad to his children, and always enjoyed starting his day off with his baby girl drinking a glass of chocolate milk.

In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by his step-father, Richard P. Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Bridget Hope Shelley; children, Hunner Zachery Shelley, Ambria Francesca Shelley, Savannah Faith Shelley, and Christopher Brian Parker; sister, Ashley Goins; step-mother, Mary Shelley both of Bennettsville, SC; brothers-in-law, Brian (Julie) Parker of McColl, SC, Robert Farrah, and Billy Farrah both of Bennettsville, SC; mother-in-law, Julie (James) Norton of Bennettsville, SC; aunts, Lanthy (Tim) Meggs of Patrick, SC, Kathy (Paul) Ward of McColl, SC, and Teresa (Johnny) Brigman of Laurinburg, NC; uncle, William Grant of Laurinburg, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to MRC Funeral Home, c/o the Shelley family, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC to assist with expenses.
