Raymond Gene Branham

Mr. Raymond Gene Branham, age 86, entered into rest on Sunday, May 9, 2021. The family will hold a memorial celebration at the home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 6-8 O’clock PM.

Mr. Branham was born May 8, 1935 in Ridgeway, SC a son of the late J.D. and Minnie Branham. Raymond was an auto mechanic and loved working on cars. A member of Brock’s Mill Baptist Church, he not only loved reading the Bible, but teaching others about the Bible. In the later years of his life, Raymond went back and earned his GED and would go on to graduate from Fruitland Bible College. He enjoyed playing the guitar at church, and will be remembered by his family as a kind and patient man.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Branham was also preceded in death by his wife, Emily Rivers Branham; daughter, Marsha Branham Mackey; brother, Leo Branham; and sister, Eva Davis.

Survivors include his children; Ken (Glory) Rivers, Sharon (Stephen Faurote) Branham, Glenn Branham, Allen Branham, Faron (Cathi) Branham, Ruth (Tim) Gregory, Cindy Griggs (Byron) Duit, and Harvey Eugene Rivers; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Melton and Loretta (Bill) Rish; brothers, Rodger (Linda) Branham, Pete (Joann) Branham, Jerry (Lynn) Branham, and Johnny Branham; and sister-in-law, Thalia Hancock of Mt. Croghan, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brock’s Mill Baptist Church,  4218 Brock’s Mill Rd. Cheraw, SC 29520.
