Peggy Tarlton Johnson

Mrs. Peggy Tarlton Johnson, age 73, entered into rest on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 9, 1947 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Ray Wilson Tarlton, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Gray Tarlton. Peggy was an avid reader who loved spending time outside. She was a friendly person who could make friends with anyone. Peggy dearly loved her son and grandchildren and enjoyed playing outside with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jacob (Shauna) Johnson of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Trenity, Gaberiel, and Emmett Johnson; great-grandchild, Aleczander Evans; brother, Ray (Mary) Tarlton Jr. of Monroe, NC; sisters, Martha (Ted) Melton of Monroe, NC, and Judy (Dean) Price of Monroe, NC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Shelter of Union County, 160 Meadow St. Monroe, NC 28110.
