Mr. Paul Donnie Sweatt, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Alisha Hansen and Rev. Max White. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Sweatt was born December 14,1929 in Saxapahaw, NC a son of the late Raleigh Newton and Ruby Smart Sweatt. He was a graduate of Landis High School, as well as North Carolina State University. Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired employee of Bo-Buck Mills with 27 years of service. Mr. Sweatt was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and also enjoyed playing golf, and working in his shop.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sweatt was preceded in death by six siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley Sweatt of the home; children: Roger (Kathy) Sweatt of Myrtle Beach, SC, David (Connie) Sweatt, and Carol Ann Sweatt of both of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren: Hanna (Tyler) Mahaffey, Mary Kathryn (Daniel) Smith, Brooke (Jeremy) Mills, Mary Elizabeth (Max) White, Sara Hochhalter, Caroline (Austin) Brezeale, Emily Sweatt, Olivia Sweatt, and Abigail Sweatt; great-grandchildren: Emma, Isaiah, Fuller, and Hayes; and sister, Joyce K. Sweatt of Puerto Rico.
