Margie Rae Collins Hodge

Mrs. Margie Rae Collins Hodge, age 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church by Rev. Michael Davis, Rev. Wayne Hodge, and Rev. Kyle Oliver with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church.

Mrs. Hodge was born June 6, 1943 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late William Tom and Sara Elizabeth “Lizzie” Sellers Collins. She was a retired employee of Challenger Industries with 31 years of service and a faithful member of Chesterfield Church of God. Her favorite things were shopping and time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Margie Rae was also preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Rae “Dete” Hodge Roscoe; granddaughter, Hope Roscoe Melton; great grandbaby, Bailey Lynn Hodge; brothers, Oscar, Carl, Lee, Jim, Thomas, Bobby, and Jack Collins; sisters, Rhoda Munn, Lydia Thomas, Mary Crawford, Grace Wallace, and Beatrice Blackman.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Asia Ray Hodge of the home; daughters, Sylvia (Dennis) Winburn of McBee, SC, and Lisa (Charles) Freeman of Ruby, SC; son, Danny (Sharon) Hodge of FL; grandchildren, Stacey (Adam) Huggins, Dawn (Jeff) Saxon, Daniel (Penny) Cox, Danny (Bridget) Hodge, Jr, Danielle (J.T.) Self, Christopher Dunn, and Chanda (Mike) Hardin; great grandchildren, Summer, Austin, Alex, Hayden, Autumn, Talon, Noah, Aubrie, Katelyn, Alex, Abigail, Peyton, Kamryn, Cristina, and Christian; brothers, Carson (Mary) Collins of Chesterfield, SC, Larry Collins of Landis, NC, and Terry (Gail) Collins of Chesterfield, SC; sisters, Katie Lee Blackmon of Chesterfield, SC, Clara Mae (Wayne) Conyers of Kershaw, SC, and Hulda (Bill) Thomas of Kannapolis, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
