Margaret Riley Spencer

Mrs. Margaret Riley Spencer, age 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 10, 2021 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Hospice Chaplain Rev. Don Rhyne. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the Spencer Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Spencer was born August 20, 1933 in Cecil County, MD a daughter of the late James Peoples and Anna Mary Kyle Riley. She was a retired employee of Stanley Tools with over 30 years of service. Margaret enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, quilting, and was a talented seamstress.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Monroe Spencer, Sr.; son, William Bradley Spencer; granddaughter, Faith Spencer; brother, James Riley.

Survivors include her children, James (Joyce) Spencer of Rising Sun, MD, Brian (Anita) Spencer of Chesterfield, SC, Fred (Renea) Spencer of Ruby, SC, Dale Spencer of Wallace, SC, and Anna Smith of Wallace, SC; 6 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Mary Ann Foard of Colora, MD, Marion Brinsfield of Rock Hill, SC, and Marjorie Gilbert of Rising Sun, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
