A graveside service will be held at 10 O'clock AM, Friday, June 17, 2022 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Fred McDaniel. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.

GAMBRILLS, MD - Margaret Ann (Gaskins) Hunter (88) died June 3 at 7:20 pm of complications of COPD and dementia. She was born February 16, 1934 to Minor C. and Ruth S. Gaskins in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. She was predeceased by sisters Miriam Janelle, Emily Ruth, and Halley Dolores and a brother Minor O. Gaskins. She is survived by her husband Marvin Alton after 68 years of marriage and their 5 children Miriam Angela Hunter and her two children Kim and John; son Marvin A, JI (Vanessa) and their two daughters Rachel (Pat) and Bailey (Chris) and their daughter Lucinda; daughter Marie Amy (Hal) and their 2 sons Alan (Christian) and their twins Luke and Oliver, and Andrew; son Malcolm (Sharleen) and their 4 sons T. J. and his children Gabriel and Lila Rae, Malcolm II, Kolby (Brittany) and their son Kolton, and Jesse (Shelby) and their daughter Kamryn; and son Matthew (Johnny); brother, Monroe (Margie) Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC, and Joel Nelson Gaskins of Ruby, SC.  The remaining member of her husband's family is Larry R.(Nancy) of The Villages, Florida. Margaret was an accomplished homemaker and mother and for more than 60 years a well loved accompanist (piano/organ) for several churches, the most recent being Emmanuel Baptist of Gambrills, MD where she was a member.
Her body will be ministered to and cremated by Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills, MD. Burial of her remains will be at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Chesterfield County, SC, where she was a member the first 20 years of her life, aided by the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, SC. A commemoration service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1215 Waugh Chapel Road, Gambrills, MD on June 12 at 3:00pm. Those who wish to do something to honor her may make a contribution in her honor to either their favorite charity, or Emmanuel Baptist Church Memorial fund, or Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery fund, (Highway 102) of Chesterfield County, Zip 29709.
