Joel Hiram Jenkins

Mr. Joel Hiram Jenkins, age 48, entered into rest on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Funeral  services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Cross Roads Baptist Church by Pastor David Sanders and Dr. Rick Henderson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  A private committal service will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will be meeting at the home of Fred and Faye Jenkins, 116 Jackson Road, Mt. Croghan, SC.

Mr. Jenkins was born October 27, 1970 in Florence, SC a son of the late John Hiram and Sarah Polson Jenkins.  He was a former supervisor with Harris Teeter distribution center and PYA Monarch. Joel was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards, and he will be remembered as a country boy at heart. Mr. Jenkins attended Macedonia Baptist Church in Jefferson.

In addition to his parents, Joel was also preceded in death by an infant brother, John Franklin Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Heather Jenkins of the home; a son, Andrew Hiram Jenkins of the home; brother, Vernon (Ann) Moseley of Florida; also nieces and nephews, Kristy Craig, Candy Rumbold, Jessica McCaskill, Brandon Moseley, Michael Moseley, and Melissa Moseley.
