Gregory "Greg" Richard Arant

Mr. Gregory “Greg” Richard Arant, age 52, of Pageland, SC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 2, 2021 surrounded by his family. A private celebration of life will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Pastor Don Rhyne, Brandon Smith, and Tony Funderburk with burial immediately following in the church cemetery.

Family and friends are welcomed to visit Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 between the hours of 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM to pay their respects.

Greg was born September 5th, 1968 to Richard Johnson Arant and Lynda Jordan Arant. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Monica Funderburk Arant; and their children, Mason Arant & McKensie Arant.

He was a graduate of Central High School and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. It was there that he accepted Christ as a teenager and grew to love the Lord. He served as Deacon, a former Sunday school teacher, and previously worked with their youth. For over 35 years, he worked alongside his father in their family business.

Greg had a gift for relating to anyone no matter the age or where they were from. There was something about him that always drew a crowd. You’d usually find him at the center making everyone laugh. If you were to have asked him what meant most to him, he’d quickly tell you it was his family. He would tell you God chose for him the perfect wife and that his son, Mason, and daughter, McKensie made his life full and complete. He lived for every ball game and seeing their every accomplishment from early childhood through high school. He never begrudged a minute of taking the time to make long drives or spending hours watching them play. His greatest pride was seeing them grow into who they are today.

Greg was the epitome of a big brother to both his sisters. Always looking for any opportunity to “lovingly” antagonize them but more importantly, always be there for them no matter what their situation or circumstance. He was the uncle that treated each niece and nephew like his own child. He was the friend you knew you could always count on.

He left us all with so many memories, laughs, and pieces of him that are priceless. Those of us who were closest to him would say with certainty that he was the strongest man we ever knew as we watched him privately fight a long, hard battle. Through it all, he continually tried his hardest to live life as only Greg could and not be labeled with cancer. Now that his fight is over, we all find joy and take comfort in knowing he has been made perfect and whole. It’s definitely not goodbye but see you soon!
