Mr. Grady H. Oliver, age 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Funeral Services will be 5:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2018 at Cross Roads Baptist Church by Pastor Dr. Rick Henderson and Dr. Troy Rogers with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM prior to the service in the Family Life Center of the church and other times at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Reggie & Melissa Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was born December 24, 1934 in Mt. Croghan, SC a son of the late Clyde H. and Maggie Burr Oliver. He attended Cross Roads School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. A retired employee of Ruby Manufacturing, Grady was a former employee of Burlington Industries and worked at several country stores where he enjoyed meeting new friends. He was a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where he served on the Executive Committee, the Cemetery Committee, church choir member, Brotherhood member, and was an associational delegate for the church. Grady was a sports enthusiast and was an avid NY Yankees fan.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Oliver was also preceded in death by a son, Grady Mitchell “Mickey” Oliver.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Hall of Cheraw, SC; son, Reggie (Melissa) Oliver of Ruby, SC; and their mother, Sara C. Brown of Mt. Croghan, SC; daughter-in-law, Paula Oliver; grandchildren, Ronald Jesse (Tamra) O’Neal, Sierra Danielle “Dani” (Matt Cetnar) Hall, Charles David “Chase” Hall, III, Kim (Danny) Cowick, Jenny (Joshua) McLaughlin;  Emily Faith Oliver, Analyn Miriam Oliver, and Grant Holden Oliver; numerous great grandchildren; and special friends, Dennis & Rita Gulledge of Ruby, SC.
