Elizabeth "Millie" Cox Marsh

Mrs. Elizabeth “Millie” Cox Marsh, age 90, entered into rest on October 2, 2020. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Richard Brooks Marsh, Dr. Steve West, and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marsh was born May 14, 1930 in Lynch Station, VA a daughter of the late Wyatt Reed Cox and Lockie Thompson West. She was a retired employee of Weller Industries and a former employee of Burlington Industries. Following her retirement, Mrs. Marsh worked in the Home Health Care profession caring for the elderly. She enjoyed attending Windsor Park Freewill Baptist Church. She was also a very talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was also preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Marsh, Jr.; daughter, Eveline Short; sister, Kitty Fox; and brothers, John W., Milton, Warren “Dyke,” Arnold, Doug, Pete, Richard, and Harry Cox.

She is survived by her children, Mark D. (Judy Borich) Marsh of Bennettsville, SC, Donald W. (Joni) Marsh of Cheraw, SC, and Debra Lang of Cheraw, SC; sister, Lucy East of Martinsville, VA; sister-in-law, Ruth Cox of Alta Vista, VA; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
