Delilah Catherine Hatchell

Mrs. Delilah Catherine Hatchell, age 76, entered into rest on Thursday, November 26, 2020.  Graveside services will be 1:00 Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens by Pastor Darrell Hatchell.  The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Hatchell was born July 7, 1944, in Cheraw, SC, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Richardson Strickland. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the women’s Sunday school class.  Mrs. Hatchell will be remembered for the great love that she had for her family.  A long-time sales associate at Walmart, she enjoyed her job and helping her customers.  She also enjoyed going out to eat with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hatchell was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Richardson and her grandson, James Darrell Hatchell, Jr.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Joseph Leon Hatchell, of the home; sons, Eric (Carolyn) Hatchell of Cheraw, SC, and Pastor Darrell (Tammie) Hatchell of Granite Falls, NC; daughter, Shannon Hatchell of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Joseph (Diedra) Hatchell of Lynchburg, SC, Corbin (Ashley) Hatchell of Ruby, SC, Christie Hatchell of Granite Falls, NC, Catherine (Jamie) Caulder of Cheraw, SC, Joshua (Samantha) Brigman, of Cheraw, SC, Savannah Hatchell of Cheraw, SC; great grandchildren, Kinsey Hatchell, Joey Hatchell, III, Kodak Hatchell, Remington Hatchell, James Noah (Emma) Bumgarner, Jenna Nicole Bumgarner, Micah Nathaniel Bumgarner, Ivy Leighann Payne, Everleigh Jacobs, Danica Caulder, Jaxson Caulder, and Stella Rhae Brigman; great – great grandchild, Raelynn Leigh Odom; brother, Hilliard (Linda) Richardson of Cheraw, SC; sister, Margie E. (Wayne) Dean of Cheraw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
