Bobby Ray Jordan Sr., 79, passed away peacefully with his loving family by side on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on September 14, 1940 in Cheraw, South Carolina to the late Robert M. Jordan & Jessie Mae (Caulder) Jordan.

Along with his parents, Bobby is reunited in death with his beloved wife of 52 years, Carolyn P. Jordan and their daughter, Kimberly Cambrey.

Bobby had an unassuming presence and gentle strength.  He loved a good laugh and once could be found in the mornings at McDonalds talking with the locals while having a cup of coffee.  He genuinely loved people and found ways to invest time and love in those who he considered close to him.  Whether it be one of his clients, family, friends or employees; it was never odd to hear a story from someone about something he did to help them through the years.  His generosity was not always apparent to everyone as he never spoke of how he helped those he loved.

He loved auto racing, camping trips with his family and weekends spent at Lake Tillery, NC.  His biggest joy was to spend time with his family no matter where it may be.  He loved attending church on Sunday mornings with his family and he often spoke of his relationship with God.  In the end, he was ready to go to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and shared that with his family often.  He was a hard worker and was dedicated to providing quality service to countless property owners along Garden City Beach and Surfside Beach.  His wealth of knowledge and work ethic paved the way for a successful business spanning over 40 years.  He truly enjoyed his career as owner of Jordan Maintenance & Services South, LLC.  Most of all, he loved the people he met and formed relationships with during his time as a business owner.

Left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his adoring children, Bobby R. Jordan, Jr. and his wife, April, & Melissa Ann Bost and her husband, Richard, all of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Keith Atwood, Justin Atwood, Richard Bost, Jr. (Haley), & Collin Jordan; great grandchildren, Marley Bost, Lucas Bost & Ezekiel “Zeke” Bost; brother, Tommy Jordan and his wife, Dot; sisters, Sue Jones & Rhonda Brock and her husband, Eddie, all of Cheraw; a sister-in-law, Pam Sellers and her husband Tim of Cheraw; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends, neighbors and patrons.

A Celebration of Bobby’s life will be held privately.
