Barbara P. Baker

Ms. Barbara Price Baker, age 77, entered into rest on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Bishop Jim Outen and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mitch & April Rogers, 506 Johnson Lowery Road, Pageland, SC.

Ms. Baker was born August 1, 1942 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late William Frank and Sarah Ellen Walters Price. She was a former employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mills and the Pageland Care Facility. Barbara enjoyed attending Southside Ministries of Pageland. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Rogers; infant daughter, Catherine Ann Rogers; daughter, Bridgette Baker;  brothers, Leroy Price and Billy Price; grandsons, Mikey “Sam” Rogers, Jr., and Nicholas Aaron Rogers; and granddaughter, Felicia Wallace.

Survivors include her children, Mike (Sharon) Rogers, Sarah Wallace, Mitch (April) Rogers, Corey Baker, Stephen (Teresa) Baker, and Yencey (Melissa) Baker all of Pageland, SC; son of the heart, Steve Gantt of Pageland, SC; 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Roark of Sophe, NC, Katie Eubanks of Monroe, NC, Bonnie Alford of Thomasville, NC, and Peggy Taylor of Jefferson, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
