          Mrs. Aletha Johnson Moore, age 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mark Phillips and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kendell & Helen Moore, 180 Jones Road, Chesterfield.

          Mrs. Moore was born May 28, 1933 in Patrick, SC a daughter of the late Harley and Minnie Johnson. She was a retired employee of Cheraw Yarn Mills and a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Aletha enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, and serving the Lord.  

           In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aletha was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Colston H. Moore; and brother, Charles Johnson; and step-brother, George Johnson.

          Survivors include her sons, Harold (Cynthia) Moore of Greer, SC, Randy (Joy) Moore of Clarksville, TN, Kendell (Helen) Moore, and Wayne (Cindy) Moore both Chesterfield, SC; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Eva Brigman of Indian Land, NC, Sadie (Al) Rudelic of Murrells Inlet, SC, Linda (Sandy) Taylor, and Janice (Rev. Gerald) Rivers both of Chesterfield, SC; brother, Olin Johnson of Hartsville, SC; and special family friends, Billy Eddins and Susanne Eddins.  

          Memorials may be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 293 Zoar Rd, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
