Zedra Elizabeth Clanton

Mrs. Zedra Elizabeth Clanton, age 62, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church byReverend Kevin Burchfield and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 3:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Clanton was born July 1, 1960 in Monroe, NC a daughter of Billy Hopkins and the late Catherine Taylor Hopkins. She was an employee of Palmetto Oaks Residential Care (formerly Pageland Care Facility) and a member of Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church. Zedra enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always ready to go for a ride and enjoyed a good dip of snuff.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Clanton was also preceded in death by her husband, Mike Dennis Clanton; and 2 grandchildren, Hannah Grace Clanton, and Ariel Elizabeth Clanton.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Erica) Hinson, Billy Clanton, Roy (Nicole Freeman) Clanton, and Michael (Jessika) Clanton; daughters, Nancy Reynolds, Judy (Brian) Huey, Marie Steen, Angela (Pedro) Martinez; father, Billy Hopkins; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Hilda) Hopkins; sisters, Catherine Freeman, and Shirley Reynolds; and long-time friend, Randy Steen.
