William "Snake" Teal

     Mr. William Dewitt “Snake” Teal, Sr., age 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Grady Baskins. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

     Mr. Teal was born May 8, 1941 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Roland Dewitt and Elsie Davis Teal. Snake was a fan of all things related to cars. He was an autobody painter, and also enjoyed attending classic car shows. Mr. Teal was best known for being a people person and he had many friends to show for it.

     In addition to his parents, Snake was also preceded in death by his children, Elsie and Charles Teal; mother of his children, Annie Stafford; and sister Annie Mae Reese.

     Survivors include his children, Pam (Charles) Rivers of Ruby, SC, William Dewitt Teal, Jr. of Chesterfield, SC, Lisa (Jackie) Short of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Charlene, Diana, Jessi, Nina, Liza, B.J.; great-grandchildren, Kinsly, Kason, Hunter, Taylor, Luke, Tyler, Jackson, Jake, Daulton; sister, Ruby (Bud) Hayes of Darlington, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; close friends, Sarah and Tony Chavis; and too many friends to count.
