William S. "Stan" Mintz

Chesterfield, SC

     Mr. William S. "Stan" Mintz, also known as "Bill", entered into rest on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the age of 71 after a long battle with cancer. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Jason Hall. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home of Mr. Mintz, 1130 Memory Rd., Chesterfield, SC 29709.

     Mr. Mintz was born October 25, 1953 in Maryland the son of the late Robert Stanley Mintz and Ella Mae Hall Mintz McGuire. Following his high school graduation, Stan enlisted in the United States Army where he served for seven years before being honorably discharged. After completing his military service, Mr. Mintz went on to work as truck driver until his retirement. Stan’s pride and joy in life was his family. He cherished the time he spent in retirement with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Mintz was preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen Wayne Mintz, Edward Michael “Micky” Mintz; daughter, Allison Page Parker; and grandson, Michael William Mintz.

     Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Janet Davidson Mintz of the home, daughters, Mary Ann Mitchell of Baltimore, MD, Mary Parker (Jason) Hall of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Katelyn (Jacob) Merritt, Samantha Mintz, Michael Parker, Alex Hall, Zackery Parker, Oliver Holland, Max Holland; great-grandchildren, Arianna Alexander, Angelina Alexander, Ellison Grace “Ellie” Merritt, Mahki Chambers, Brantley Mintz; sisters, Dorothy (Steve) David of Simpsonville, SC, Cindi (Joe) O’Connor of Cripple Creek, CO; brother, Tracy Mintz of Tampa, FL; granddaughter of the heart, Vanessa Stoppiello, and Meritt Elder.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, 1203 E Cheves St, Florence, SC 29506.
