VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Laney was born in Chesterfield County a son of Susie K. Laney and the late Minor Laney. He was a retired employee of Springs Industries with 28 years of service. Following his retirement, Mr. Laney worked with McManus Logging. William was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Milton and Gary Laney; one daughter, Sylvia Ann Laney; two brothers, Pete and Edward Laney; and two sisters, Lessie Hargett and Catherine Outen.

Wife of 41 years: Betty S. Laney of the home

1 Son: Michael (Bobbie Jean) Laney of Pageland, SC

4 Daughters: Wanda (Les) Worth of Charlotte, NC, Irene (Willie) Chapple , Barbara Ann (George) Langley, and Angie (Donald) Langley all of Pageland, SC

Mother: Susie K. Laney of Pageland, SC

3 Brothers: Roy Laney and Richard Laney both of Pageland, SC and Bill Laney of Lancaster, SC

4 Sisters: Carolyn Oliver, Jo Ann West, Louise Nichols, and Frances Stevenson all of Pageland, SC
