FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruby SC

VISITATION: will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015, prior to service at Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Joplin was born June 12, 1961 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late William Leverne and Myra Lee "Susie" Brock Joplin. He was a 1979 graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended Chesterfield-Marlboro TEC. Scott was a welder and race car builder, and former owner of Scott Joplin's Race Cars. Mr. Joplin was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and attended White Oak Presbyterian Church. Scott enjoyed racing, taking rides in the country, football, baseball, and talking with his friends. He never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Scott was also preceded in death by his son, Johnathan Spencer Joplin.
