HISTORY: Mr. Donahue was born May 21, 1930 in Union County, NC a son of the late William Jesse and Ivy Beatrice Melton Donahue. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by three brothers, Burris and Lance Donahue, and Tite Melton; and by two sisters, Emma Jean Knight and Lydia Ann Donahue.

Wife of 59 years: Ruth Pigg Donahue of the home
4 Daughters: Susan (Lester) Tarlton and Patricia (Ed) Funderburk both of Jefferson, SC, Tammy (Jerry) Plyler of Lancaster, SC and Joyce Williams of Kershaw, SC
19 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren
3 Sisters: Gaynell Leaird of Pageland, SC, Faye Ruth Knight of VA, and Jamie Melton of Rock Hill, SC
