MADISON – William “Don” Donald Sellers, 82, died on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sellers was born on August 20, 1943 and raised in Chesterfield County, South Carolina where his family led a simple life as produce farmers. They owned and operated Sellers Produce where he quickly loved and learned to drive farm equipment. Don and his older brother, Mack hauled produce and sold at different markets. As an adult, Don worked in Management for years, but his love of big trucks and the open road led him to buying his own rig. He continued his career as a truck driver and eventually owned his own business, DST, Don Sellers Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Roberts Sellers; parents, Rhett and Ruby Sellers and brother, Richard “Ricky” Lynn Sellers. Survivors include his children, Greg Sellers (Melissa), Jennifer Chisam (Chris) and Jeff Sellers (Rachel); grandchildren, Karre Sellers, Lathan Sellers, Madison Chisam, Courtney Chisam, Hannah Sellers and Olivia Sellers; brother, Mack Sellers (Jackie); sister, Ouida Hursey and many extended family and friends.
