DECEASED: Mr. William M. "Bill" Burch, age 77, died Sunday, January 20, 2008

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Burch was born in Wallace, SC a son of the late Robert Huntley and Bernice Threadgill Burch. He joined the Army at the end of WWII, and served with the occupation forces in Germany. He was also a Korean War Veteran surviving several heavy engagements. He ultimately retired from the U.S. Army in 1974 as a Sergeant First Class. Mr. Burch also served as a Chesterfield Town Council member from 1977 until 1983. He was also a retiree of the Lancaster County School District serving in a variety of positions. He was a member of Chesterfield American Legion Post 74. Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert H. Burch, Jr., Frank M. Burch, and Darrell Dominique Burch and by 3 sisters, Sarah B. Horton, Betty Lou Burch and Lillian Burch.

2 Sons: Randell Burch and wife April Griffin Burch of Beaufort, SC and Bill M. Burch and wife Holly Martin Burch of Fort Mill, SC

4 Grandchildren: Camille, Autumn, Tristan, and Abigail Burch

1 Sister: Laura Burch Hunt of Chesterfield, SC
