Willard “Buster” J. Griggs, Jr., age 82, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at his home A native of Patrick, South Carolina he was the son of the late Carrie “Sara” Lee Griggs.

Buster Attended Chesterfield High School and retired from Burlington Industries after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and loved cars.

Survivors include Lucille Riley (aunt), John W. Griggs (uncle), and numerous cousins. His friends and family have many fond memories of him. Buster was devoted to his mother and cared for her until her death in October of 1989. He cared deeply for his family and enjoyed the yearly family reunions where they reminisced about the good times they had together over the years. At the reunion, you could always find Buster quietly listening and laughing at the stories they shared. Buster will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Buster’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Patrick Cemetery on McNair Street in Patrick, SC by Rev. John "Bootsie" Griggs.
