Mrs. Turnage was born on September 2, 1950 in Cheraw, SC; she was a daughter of the late Francis and Loree Johnson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Gardner Turnage; siblings, Maxine Johnson Rayfield; David Johnson; nephews, Ricky Johnson, Michael Johnson.

Mrs. Turnage is survived by her son, Dan (Angela) Turnage; grandson, Nicholas Turnage; granddaughter, Chloe Turnage; siblings, Henry (Annie Mae) Johnson; Don Johnson, Dean Holliday; nieces and nephews, Mark Johnson, Charlotte Gaddy, Greg Rayfield, Elaine Lewis, Bess Polson.
