HISTORY: Mrs. Rogers was born November 27, 1935 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Spofford and Lula McCoy Mills. She was a former textile employee and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Virgie was also preceded in death by a brother, William Mills and by a sister, Virginia Starnes.

4 Brothers: Albert (Mary) Mills and Dillon (Ruth) Mills of Pageland, SC, Buddy (Mary) Mills and Woodrow (Sally) Mills of Monroe, NC
1 Sister: Gladys Rape of Marshville, NC
