TSgt. William B. "Bill" McQueen, Jr. (USAF, Ret.) of Chesterfield, SC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 and is now joined in heaven with his loving wife of 55 years Barbara Adams McQueen and youngest daughter, Joyce Ann McQueen.
 
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Scott Adams with burial to follow in the David's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
 
Bill was born in Coosa County, Alabama in 1936 to the late William B. and Hettie B. McQueen. Also preceded in death are his brothers, John D. McQueen, Pete McQueen, and his two sisters, Willa Dean Kelly, and Betty Reese.
 
He is survived by his two daughters Laurie (John) Gulliksen of Hahira, Georgia, Susan (Henry) Heatley of Cross, South Carolina,
Five grandchildren and one great grandson; Lauren (Kenny) Brady of Winter Springs, Florida, Maggie Heatley of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Katie Heatley of North Charleston, South Carolina, Kelsey (Jeremy) Mathis of Thomasville, Georgia, Stephen (Victoria) Heatley of Cordesville, South Carolina, and Colton Brady of Winter Springs, Florida, and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved Chihuahua, Tinker Bell.
 
Bill loved God, family, and his country. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He loved gardening and driving his tractors. He was skilled in many areas of mechanics and could fix anything. He also enjoyed telling stories from his past.
 
We would like to say a special thank you to all those who have helped Dad over the past several years, Ms. Mary McCoy, Dawna Rushing, Stacey Gooden, Toni Watson, Cynthia Rice, Mary Sellers, Brittany Gilmore, Kayla Smith, and Gentiva Hospice.
