FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT: will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruby, SC

VISITATION: is 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012, prior to the service at the Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Hancock was born January 12, 1940 in Florence, SC a son of the late Henry Franklin and Nellie Catherine Gulledge Hancock. He was a high school graduate and received an Associate Degree in accounting. Gene was a retired Tech Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service, having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a retired computer builder with National Cash Register Company. Mr. Hancock was a member of Springdell Baptist Church. In addition
to his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.

1 Son: Sylvester E. "Buddy" Hancock, Jr. and wife of Lexington, SC
1 Daughter: Rachel Hancock
1 Grandchild: Mandy Hancock of Columbia, SC
2 Sisters: Ethel H. Barrett and Rachel H. Blackmon of Lancaster, SC
