Mr. Stuart Michael Steen, age 39, passed away Sunday morning, April 26, 2026 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence, with his mother by his side. A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026 in the Greenlawn Memorial Park by Brent Taylor and Pastor Tommy Moser. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Steen was born January 22, 1987, in Lancaster, SC the son of Gloria Steen Dennis. Stuart lived life with a free spirit and an open heart. He was truly at peace in the great outdoors. Whether he was out on the water with a fishing line, tearing across a trail on a four-wheeler, or riding horses.
At home, he loved nothing more than firing up the grill for his family, always with a good playlist setting the mood. He had a passion for upbeat music, especially when it was his favorite band, "The Lacs," playing in the background.
Mr. Steen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover & Bessie Steen of Mt. Croghan, SC.
Survivors include his mother, Gloria (Robbie Adams) Dennis of Ruby, SC; daughter, Hannah Steen of Hartsville, SC; granddaughter, Morgan Freeman of Hartsville, SC; sister, Lacey Laney of Ruby, SC; nieces, Taylan Irvin, Madison Steen; nephews, Presley Edwards, Dalton Edwards; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friend, Angela Johnson of Ruby, SC.
Memorials may be made to Twin Pines Baptist Church, 69 Twin Pines Church Rd., Jefferson, SC 29718.
