VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. West was born in Kershaw, SC a son of the late Henry and Henrietta Williams West. He was a retired Chesterfield County Corrections employee and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. West was a member of Clanton Plains Baptist Church. Sam was married to the late Myrtle Parker West and was also preceded in death by a son Bill Parker, three brothers, James, Billy, and Julius West, and by two sisters, Elizabeth Cauthen and Geneva Sowell.

3 Sons: Steve (Carolyn) West of Ruby, SC, Olin (Ruth) Parker of Chesterfield, SC, and Jimmy (Bonnie) Wallace of Ruby, SC

3 Daughters: Betty Garvin of Jackson, MS, Nelda Vincent of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sue (Gerald) Jordan of Mt. Croghan, SC

Daughter-in-law: Bonnie T. Parker of Chesterfield, SC

1 Brother: Walter (Stella) West of Lancaster, SC

1 Sister: Edna Bowers of Kershaw, SC
