Stephen “Steve” Reece Roscoe passed away leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories. To know Steve was to love him — and anyone who ever met him did just that. He had a way of turning strangers into friends, and friends into family.
Steve was a fun-loving man with a personality larger than life. His smile could light up the darkest room, and his sense of humor could lift even the heaviest heart. He had an incredible gift for seeing the good in every situation and helping others do the same. No matter what life threw his way, Steve faced it with strength, wit, and that trademark grin that made everything seem a little easier.
A true mechanical genius, Steve had an unmatched talent for fixing anything that needed repair. If it was broken, Steve could make it work again — often better than before. His love for fast cars and all things mechanical wasn’t just a hobby; it reflected the way his mind worked — sharp, curious, and full of drive.
Steve loved life and made sure to make the most of every moment. He found joy in simple things, laughter in hard times, and adventure wherever he went. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will forever remind us to live life with a full heart and a smile.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Ann Hazle Roscoe, who passed away in 1996; his parents, Reece Roscoe and Mary Bernice Roscoe; and his brothers, William Kenneth Roscoe and Gregory Scott Roscoe.
He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer K. Roscoe and Stephen James Roscoe (Amy Caulder Roscoe); his cherished grandchildren, Gracie Ann Richardson, Brena Chapman, Caulder James Roscoe, and Lundy Ann Roscoe; and his devoted companion, Barbara Robinson.
Honoring Steve’s wishes, the family will hold a private gathering for family and close friends as he will be laid to rest on his family land — a place that brought him peace and happiness. While there are no public services, the family is deeply grateful for the love and kindness shared by so many whose lives he touched.
Steve will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey — but his laughter, love, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Roscoe family.
