MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Hopewell Baptist Church, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT: will follow in the church cemetery

VISITATION: 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM Saturday prior to the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.


HISTORY: Mrs. Gardner was born September 2, 1935 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Lee and Joyce Rayfield Wadsworth. She was a homemaker and McDonald's Restaurant Hostess. Shirley was married to the late Jack Walker Gardner and was also preceded in death by a brother Jim Wadsworth.

3 Sons: Jack W. Gardner of Arlington, VA, William D. Gardner of Orlando, FL, and Stewart C. Gardner of Mass.
1 Daughter: Cynthia Gardner Cross of Chagpaqua, NY
1 Brother: Bob Wadsworth of Cheraw, SC
1 Sister: Dot Welch of Chesterfield, SC
