Sheila Anne Kopchick

Cheraw, SC

          Mrs. Sheila Anne Kopchick, age 57, entered into rest on Monday, January 29, 2024 at her home. The family will announce a Celebration of Life service which will be held in Albany, NY at a later date. 

          Mrs. Kopchick was born October 3, 1966 in Norwich, NY a daughter of the late Gary and Geraldine Nitsky Hamblen. Sheila was raised and went to high school in Guilderland, NY. A bookkeeper by trade, Sheila operated Rage Fuel Systems with her late husband, Michael Kopchick, for 27 years. Together for a number of years they also competed in the NHRA with a Top Alcohol dragster which Sheila drove professionally and Mike designed, built, and tuned.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kopchick is now reunited with her deeply beloved husband, Micheal Kopchick. 

          Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Tafur of Germany; sisters, Lorraine (Wayde) Horton of Sand Lake, NY, Geraldine “Dee” M. Relyea of Cheraw, SC; and stepson, Thomas B. (Chelsea) Kopchick of Portland, CT.
