Mt. Croghan, SC
Mr. Shane Lee Kearns, age 43, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Friday, October 4, 2019, at Fairview Baptist Church by Pastor Kyle Oliver with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC.
Mr. Kearns was born October 2, 1975, in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Charles Lyndon and Kathy Helms Kearns. He was a graduate of Central High School in Pageland, SC, and an employee of Graves Plumbing. Mr. Kearns was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Shane enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending field trials. He was also an avid South Carolina Gamecocks fan; however, more than anything, he enjoyed time spent at home with his family. Mr. Kearns will be remembered as a loving husband, proud father, and a friend to all.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Allen Kearns of the home; his three children, Kade Lee Kearns, Kaitlyn Nicholson, and Cale Nicholson, all of the home; his brother, Derrick (Diane) Kearns of Woodbridge, VA; his sister, Chona (Scott) Varnadoe and family of GA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Tammy Allen of Mt. Croghan, SC; his step-father, Jerry Melton of Jefferson, SC; step-mother, Margie Eason of Pageland, SC; his step-brothers, Lane (Myra) Melton of McBee, SC, and Lee (Christina) Melton of Columbia, SC; and also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church “Youth Fund”, c/o Stacy Jenkins, 6178 Airport Road, Mt. Croghan, SC 29727, in honor of his son, Kade.
