HISTORY: Mrs. Shaw was born in Hopewell, VA a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane Grant Chavis. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales. Mrs. Shaw was a member of the True-Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church and was also a member of the WOW Peachtree Lodge 0966. Sarah was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Leviner, and by 2 brothers, Elijah Chavis and Junior Chavis.

Husband of 59 years: Boyce H. Shaw of the home

3 Sons: Larry (Kay) Shaw of Gaston, AL., James (Rhonda) Shaw of Wallace, SC, and Randy (Pam) Shaw of Chesterfield, SC

2 Brothers: Wayne Chavis of Cheraw, SC; and Frank Chavis, Jr. of Wallace, SC

1 Sister: Fannie Sylvia of Cheraw, SC
