Roy Thomas Melton

Mr. Roy Thomas Melton, age 75, entered into rest on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his home. The family will hold a memorial service of remembrance at a later date.

Mr. Melton was born July 29, 1942 in Greensboro, NC a son of the late Duane and Iila Mae Bowman. A U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Melton earned the ranking of E-7 over his 20 years of service. He was a retired mechanic with Germain Honda in Naples, Fl. Roy enjoyed working on a project, collecting keepsakes, and watching his movie collection.

In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Melton; children, Teresa Melton, Roy Thomas Melton, Jr., Kimberly Melton Bullard, Ernest Melton, and Michael Melton.

Survivors include his children, Maria Christine Melton of Charlotte, NC, Duane (Jessica) Melton of Marco Island, FL, Nick (Laura) Melton of Naples, Fl, Mary (Tyler Paul) Melton of Starksville, MS; grandchildren, Tyler (Valerie) Melton, Stephen, Ernest, Melissa Bullard, and Glenn Bullard.
