Mr. Roy Clinton Polson, Jr., passed away at his home at the age 72. The memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. Mr. Polson was born on December 6, 1953 in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of the late Roy Clinton Polson, Sr. and Shirley Langley Polson. Roy graduated from Wallace High School, class of 1972; where he participated in every sport and proudly played on the team that won the baseball state championship in 1967. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Whether gardening, managing a burn pile or working around the yard, Roy enjoyed time outdoors. Most of all, Mr. Polson loved his grandchildren, and was almost always with them.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Polson was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Bruce Polson.
