Rodger L. Gainey, 50, of Patrick died on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

A celebration of Rodger’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2 PM at Southern Grace in Chesterfield, SC.

Rodger worked at Carolina Collision in Pageland, where he was the 3rd generation Auto Body man in his family. He loved fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, traveling with the love of his life, woodworking and art. Rodger loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. He was also a fan of Elvis Presley.

Surviving are his wife, Casey Gainey of Patrick; his mother, Shirley Lett Crowley of Patrick; his children, Robbie Gainey (Marlyn) of Charlotte, NC, Brittany Polson of Chesterfield, Clayton Williams of Patrick, Katie Joplin of Patrick, Bradley Minick (Dakota) of Patrick, Huntress Gainey (Noah Helms) of Jefferson, Paradise Gainey of Chesterfield, Darin Gainey of Cheraw, and Jay Gainey of Cheraw; his granddaughters, Ryleigh Kaye Joplin of Patrick, Ella Rose Helms of Jefferson; his grandson due in March, Charmaine Cornelius Minick of Patrick; his sisters, Sherry Gainey (Chris Jenkins) of Mt. Croghan, Karen Short of Chesterfield, Elaine White of Mint Hill, Faith Cook (Jeff) of Hamlet, NC, and Van Litton of Lamar; his nephew, Michael Welch (Rhonda) of Darlington, and his niece, Barbie Galloway (Jimmy Floyd) of Oates and special friends, Brad Minick of Patrick and Carroll Hammonds of Mt Croghan.

Rodger was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gainey; step father. EC Crowley; and his brother, Jeff Crowley.
