Robert Anthony Purvis

Mr. Robert Anthony Purvis, age 50, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Bren Lowe and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the LDS Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Purvis was born May 15, 1972 in Cheraw, SC a son of Sandra Freeman Edwards and the late Robert Purvis Jr. Anthony was hardworking, free spirited, and a skilled handyman. He was a painter by trade and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his father, Anthony was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruth Caulder and Sidney Purvis; and maternal grandparents, Laron and Geneva Freeman.

Survivors include his mother; Sandra (Deani) Edwards of Cheraw, SC; daughter, Katie Brooke Purvis of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Melani, Marilyn, and Maddox; sisters, Renee (Robert) Hatcher of Wallace, SC, Christine Ludlow of Cheraw, SC; brothers, Ervin (Lynette) Purvis of Tega Cay, SC, Craig (Laura) Freeman of Cheraw, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home to assist the family.
