Mr. Robert "Eddie" Reese, age 71, of Bethune, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 4, 2026, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, surrounded by his beloved family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the fellowship hall of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Terry Corder. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on the same day in the fellowship hall.
Mr. Reese was born on August 1, 1954, in Camden, South Carolina, to the late Edwin Harmon Reese and Cora Horton Reese. He was a graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School, Class of 1972, and a retired employee of Dupont. After retirement, he continued to serve the community by working as a bus driver for the Kershaw and Lancaster County School Districts.
A faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Mr. Reese served on the building and grounds committee, drove the church bus, and welcomed his church family each Sunday as a greeter. His hobbies included gardening, spending time in his shop and on his tractor, and exercising through daily walks. However, nothing brought him more joy than the time spent with his grandchildren, who often referred to him as Paw-Paw and Papa.
Mr. Reese is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William Gerald Reese, Carroll Reese, Len Reese, Margie Jackson, and Myrtis McCants.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Courtney Reese of the home; his daughter, Kimberly Reese (Matthew) Spalding of Douglasville, GA; son, Timothy (Leah) Reese of Monetta, SC; step-sons, Zachary Morris and Joshua Morris both of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Natalie, Valerie, Remmington, Weston, Warren, Jaquavius, and Tatiyanna; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Joyce Courtney of Pageland, SC; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Hwy, Jefferson, SC 29718.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) is serving the Reese family.
