DATELINE: Chesterfield, SC
DECEASED: Mr. Richard V. Tarlton, age 69, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at his home.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.
INTERMENT: Chesterfield Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Military Honors.
VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Funeral Home
HISTORY: Mr. Tarlton was born in Wadesboro, NC, a son of the late Robert Vance Tarlton and Mabel Vick Tarlton McCroskey. He was a retired assistant Postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service. Richard was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, a member and Past Master of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220, a former member of the Chesterfield Rescue Squad, and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Wife: Phyllis Young Tarlton of the home.
1 Daughter: Sharon Kay Tarlton and Special Friend Chris Larsen, both of Lugoff, SC
2 Brothers: Wayne (Joyce) Tarlton of Mineral Springs, NC, and Herman (Ruth) Tarlton of Mt. Gilead, NC
2 Sisters: Shirley Stitt and Beverly (Charles) Story both of Albemarle, NC
3 Step Brothers: Grady (Rene) McCroskey, Audrey (Annie Laura) McCroskey, and Larry (Elaine) McCroskey all of Albemarle, NC
1 Step Sister: Ardyth Lanier of Badin, NC
