HISTORY: Rev. Grooms was born in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Walter "Walt" and Ola Lee Johnson Grooms. He was a retired truck driver and Minister. Rev. Grooms was a charter member and Pastor of New Life for Jesus Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Omega Melton Miles Grooms, a brother, Ray Grooms, and two stepsons, Rev. Jimmy Miles and Edward Miles.

3 Stepdaughters: Lawanda (Larry) Saffer of Salisbury, NC, Barbara M. (Freddie) Tarlton and Elaine M. (Warren) Johnson both of Jefferson, SC
2 Brothers: Jimmy Grooms of Bennettsville, SC and Otis Grooms of Ruby, SC
3 Sisters: Gertrude G. Turnage and Kathy Grooms of Chesterfield, SC and Vera G. Tolson of Anderson, SC
Also 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren
