INTERMENT: will follow in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Funeral Home

HISTORY: Rev. Melton was born January 9, 1952 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Floyd Wilburn and Ruby Burr Melton. He was a retired minister and pastor, having pastored Victory Baptist Church, Harris Creek Baptist Church, and Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, where he remained a member. Larry enjoyed fishing, collecting model cars, spending time with family, and telling others about Jesus. In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Melton, Jr.; two brothers, Rev. Floyd Melton, and Bobby Melton; and by a sister, Elzy Rae Linton.
