     Rev. Larry Craig Alford, 76, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at his residence.

     Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Marlboro Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. 

     Born in Dillon County, August 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Eugene Alford and Daisy Burr Alford.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired Pest Control Agent, and a retired Pastor.

      Survivors include his grandson, Larry Brandon Turner (Krupa) of Dillon, SC; special granddaughter, Samantha "Doodle" Roberts, Tristen & Alivia Coole, & Katie Roberts; special grandson, Seth Roberts all of Latta; brothers, Jimmy Alford (Annie), Gene Ray (Marie) Alford, Willilam Alford (Susan), & Anthony "Pug" Alford; sisters, Stella Clark (Wayne), Carolyn Paramore (Alvis).

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Jane Alford; daughter, Wendy Turner; son, Chad Alford; brothers, Major Alford, Vernie Alford, Evertt "Frog" Alford; sisters, Lorrianne Tart, Dorothy Jean Abott, Ernestine "Teenie" Alford, and Ann Langdon.
