Reverend Jerry Faile, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Duke University Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 18, 2026 at Piney Plain Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor William Griggs. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the White Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Rev. Faile was born April 29, 1951 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Gilbert Thornwell and Annie Starnes Faile. Jerry faithfully preached the Gospel for more than 48 years, serving the Lord with unwavering devotion and a sincere love for his faith. Rev. Faile deeply cherished his family, and his grandchildren truly held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, whether spending time outdoors fishing and camping or relaxing indoors watching westerns and military movies. Jerry also had a special love for animals, especially his beloved fur baby, Rosie.
In addition to her parents, Rev. Faile was also preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Faile; siblings, Frances Catoe, Mack Faile, Sherry Faile, and Linda Faile.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Faile; children, Angie (Brian) Rogers of Cheraw, SC, Michelle (Terry) Hancock of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jacob Hancock, Rebekah (Avery) White, Alexis Rogers, Molly Rogers; great-grandchildren, Makenna Hancock, Teagen White, Natalie White; step-children, Lisa (Victor) Moscuzza, Donna (Brian) Wallace; brother, David (Kimberly) Faile of Kershaw, SC; fur-baby, Rosie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend thanks to the entire staff of Crescent Hospice, Dr. Travis Novinger and the Palmetto Family Medicine family, and devoted caregivers, Jeanette Johnson, and Kathleen Hooper for their extraordinary care and support they provided.
