INTERMENT: Greenlawn Memorial Park

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday October 26, 2007, at the Funeral Home.

HISTORY:
Reverend Evans was born February 21, 1926 in Pageland, SC, a son of the late Lee Roy and Eva Allie Griffin Evans. He attended Wingate College and Fruitland Bible College, and was a retired Baptist Minister, having served churches in North and South Carolina. Reverend Evans was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen Funderburk Evans, his son, David Evans, and by 2 brothers, W.L. and Everette Evans.

5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

1 Daughter-in-law: Janice J. Evans of Ruby, SC

1 Sister: Geraldine E. Atkinson of Pageland, SC

3 Brothers: Roy Thomas Evans, of Monroe, NC, Marvin Evans of Marshville, NC, and Charles Evans of Chesterfield, SC
