Rev Dennis Scott Davis, age 62, was born on November 8, 1963, and entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Scott faithfully served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a long and dedicated career with Nucor Steel, from which he retired. His life was marked by service — to his nation, his church, and his family. Scott was also a faithful Funeral Assistant with Norton Funeral Home for a number of years.

A devoted follower of the Lord, Scott answered the call to ministry and served as a beloved pastor. He had a deep love for gospel music and found great joy in singing praises. He also enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, embracing both the freedom of the open road and the fellowship of friends along the way.

Scott was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his parents, Dock Teal Davis Jr. and Margaret Ann Rivers Davis; his brother, Frankie Dewayne Davis; his two sons, Jason Scott and Hannah Davis and Benjamin Teal Davis; his cherished grandson, Wyatt Dock Davis; and his beloved fiancée, Angie Bateman McLaughlin.

He leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Norton Funeral Home and Crematory are honored to be of service to the Davis family.
